Well known Graphic Designer, best know for his logo designs. Including IBM, UPS, Enron, Morningstar, Inc., Westinghouse, ABC, and NeXT.

One of the first American artists to embrace and practice the Swiss Style of design openly.

Max Huber:

Born in 1919, died in 1992.
Huber was very influential to twentieth century Graphic Design.

Originally from Switzerland, Huber started his career in 1935 working for an advertising agency and Conzett&Huber. In order to avoid the WWII draft, he moved to Milan and joined Studio Boggeri.

Emil Ruder:

Born March 20, 1914. Died March 13, 1970 at the age of 55.

Ruder is a Swiss Graphic Designer who was apart of the Basel School of Design. He is well known for his typography and development of a holistic approach to both design and teaching. His style comprised philosophy, theory, and a systematic method to his work.

He began is design training at 15 years old when he accepted a compositor's apprenticeship. Ruder then began teaching in 1942, where he was in charge of typography for trade students.

Robery Massin:

Born in 1925, Massin is a French Graphic Designer, Typographer, and Art Director.
Known for his innovative outlook with expressive typographic composition.

He stopped using his first name in the 50's and continued to just go by Massin.
Massin worked for 20 years as an art director for one of the leading French book publishers. He himself also wrote several books, which won many awards.

Piet Zwart:

Born May 28, 1885. Died September 24, 1977.
Zwart was a Dutch photographer, typographer, and industrial designer.

He began his journey at the School of Applied Arts in Amersterdam in 1902, spending most of his time as an architect and photographer.. as well as a designer.

He designed a book to teach schoolchildren how to successfully use the Dutch postal service.
Zwart was awarded the "Designer of the Century" by the Association of Dutch Designers in 2000.
