Five Designers: Armin Hofman

Born June 29, 1920, Hofman is a swiss Graphic Designer who began teaching at 26 years old at the Allgemeine Gewerbeschule Basel School of Art and Crafts.



He is well known for his development of the "Swiss Style" Graphic Design. This is a style that was developed in the 50's that focuses on cleanliness, readability, and objectivity.



His work has been shown all over the world and his posters have been widely exhibited in major galleries like the MOMA in New York.
